Another life taken in Minneapolis, Faithful America Executive Director demands Congress act to defund and abolish ICE

In response to another fatal shooting by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, the Rev. Dr. Shannon Fleck, Executive Director at Faithful America, said:

"Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continues to show its lawlessness, disregard for human life, and willingness to enact abject terror as an enforcement strategy. As Christians grounded in a moral framework of love of neighbors, we continue to shout that this must end. ICE must be defunded IMMEDIATELY, it must be removed from our cities, and stripped of any and all enforcement power in our country. This week, the House of Representatives had the opportunity to act and failed, approving historic funding for ICE, even amidst protest from tens of thousands of Faithful America members across the country. We now call upon the United States Senate to act swiftly to end these continued horrors and rule of law violations. Abolishing ICE is not just policy; it is a moral imperative."
