People of Faith Condemn GEO Group's Abuse of Immigrants in Delaney Hall and nationwide
They are collecting $2.1 billion in federal contracts nationwide to cage our neighbors. They call the abuse "compliance."

GEO Group operates Delaney Hall, an ICE detention facility in Newark, New Jersey, under a $1 billion federal contract.
Inside, over 300 people have launched a hunger and labor strike to protest conditions that Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries said "shock the conscience."
There are reports of maggot-ridden food, denied medical care, and forced labor at $1 a day.
And they won't let state inspectors enter the premises to investigate these horrific accounts.
When they protested, GEO staff and ICE agents responded with pepper spray and batons, and violent clashes.
It’s a pattern of systemic abuse allegations that follow GEO Group across state lines nationwide.
Under new Trump-era contracts in 2025, GEO Group reactivated at least four previously shuttered facilities: the 1,000-bed Delaney Hall Facility in Newark, New Jersey; the 1,800-bed North Lake Facility in Baldwin, Michigan; the 1,868-bed D. Ray James Facility in Folkston, Georgia; and a joint venture at the 1,310-bed North Florida Detention Facility in Baker County, Florida.
They run 95 facilities across the country.
GEO Group posted a record $254 million profit in 2025, yet its detainees are being fed worms.
They are profiting off of the pain and suffering of our neighbors, and we’re calling them out.
As people of faith, we believe in the God who says: speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. We believe in the Jesus who said, "Feed the hungry and heal the sick."
We condemn GEO Group's abuse of every person they detain without accountability.
As Christians, we call out the Trump-backed GEO Group for what it is: For-profit concentration camps that go against everything the Gospel stands for.

To: GEO Group Leadership
We are people of faith, and we are writing to condemn your treatment of immigration detainees in your custody -- at Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey, and at your facilities across the country.
You hold $2.1 billion in federal contracts. You are paid to house human beings. What you are doing instead has been documented by members of Congress, reported by credible news organizations, and witnessed by faith communities who have been present at your barred gates.
This is not one facility having a bad month. The ACLU has documented your pattern of abuse and retaliation.
Your company reported a record $254 million profit in 2025. Why are you feeding people maggot-ridden food?
We demand that you:
Immediately end all retaliation against detainees engaged in peaceful protest or hunger strikes
Ensure access to qualified, on-site medical care at every facility you operate
Restore family visitation at all affected facilities without delay
End the practice of force-feeding hunger-striking detainees
End the practice of $1-a-day forced labor
Open all GEO facilities to unimpeded access by Congress, public officials, legal counsel, and independent monitors
You WILL be held accountable. We will not rest until you are.
